A studio-quality puppet-making workshop led by our puppet builder. Children ages 6 to 13 design characters, assemble rod puppets from recycled materials, cardstock and fabric, and learn basic techniques for making a puppet breathe, look and walk. In longer sessions, small groups write and rehearse a two-minute scene, then perform for each other on our portable stage. Workshops are booked by the hour and are popular for upscale birthday parties, summer camps, scout troops and after-school enrichment programs. All materials are included for up to 15 participants, and each child takes home a finished puppet. We recommend two hours for the full build-and-perform experience.
